The restaurant Terra (the word means "Earth" in Portuguese) serves high quality vegetarian meals, mostly from organic ingredients, with plenty of options for vegans. The (great!) kitchen relies not only on the variety and riches of the ethnic vegetarian cuisine of the East but also on the good old flavors of the Portuguese and Mediterranean traditions.
The specialties of the Terra restaurant are presented in a mouth-watering buffet that on a typical day can go from sushi and curry to kebabs and shoarma by way of yummy salads and new and very creative vegetarian versions of traditional Portuguese dishes such as “caldeirada” (fish stew).
They also have very good natural juices, BIO soft drinks, beer and a good selection of Portuguese organic wines, not to mention delicious desserts (including handmade vegan ice cream!). The restaurant also has a small shop selling Fair Trade artifacts, good quality incense, handcrafted soaps and a variety of BIO
snacks.
This restaurant is located very near the beautiful public garden of "Príncipe Real", in the old and typical "Bairro Alto". Set in a charming old building with a private garden, you can choose to eat in the cozy restaurant indoors or "al fresco", in the shadow of century old trees, sometimes with live music.
English spoken. Cards accepted. Moderately priced. Great value for money. No smoking indoors.

"Brazilian" feijoada.
